Running is not easy

Running or rather my slow pace of jogging, is hard. About 5 weeks ago I had the “great” idea to train for and run a 5k race. I found a local race for October 24th of this year. Thirteen weeks away, the timing was perfect. So I found a couch to 5K training program and hit the track. Tonight I did my walk 5 min., jog 11 min., walk 5 min. It was not easy. But as they say, nothing worthwhile is easy. I am not a young person (43 yrs old), nor am I a thin person, quite the opposite actually. So why run a 5k? Because I have always thought is would be fun to do, I want the t-shirt, and because goals are really good to have. The sense of accomplishment I get out of completing my perscribed training for the day makes me feel really, really good!
